The Fast (and Painless!) Way to Cover Up Tattoos

Body art is a beautiful form of self-expression, but sometimes a situation comes up where you want—or need—to temporarily hide your ink. Whether you’re a bridesmaid who was asked to cover-up your sleeve or an actress that has to conceal that ankle tat for a big role, Dermablend is a quick and effective way to temporarily hide your tattoos—without lasers.

Step 1: Cover

Have a small tattoo you need to cover? Try Dermablend’s Leg and Body Cover. Available in 12 shades for multiple skin tones, this medium-coverage hydrating liquid is lightweight and offers a broad spectrum SPF 15. Simply dab the foundation over your tattoo, feathering outwards to blend into the surrounding skin. Allow each layer to dry before applying another if you need additional coverage.

If you’re on the go or need a full-coverage option, try the Quick-Fix® Body stick foundation. Available in 10 shades, the cream is blendable, yet covers completely. Apply the stick directly to the tattoo and pat with your fingertips to blend the edges, again allowing each layer to dry before applying another.

Step 2: Set

Regardless of which option you choose be sure to set it with Dermablend’s Setting Powder. The powder comes in three shades and reinforces coverage. When set with the powder, you’ll get long-lasting, smudge-free, and transfer resistant coverage for up to 16 hours. Apply a generous amount over the coverage product, let it sit for two minutes, and brush off any excess powder.

Now, you’re all set for the event or role of lifetime and when it’s over, you’ll have your tats back in no time.
