We love how she makes her skin care a real lifestyle, giving followers an inside look into when and exactly how she applies each of her favorite serums, masks and moisturizers. Ahead, we chatted with Melanie about her stunning ’gram, her skin-care guilty pleasure and the last product she finished. Name: Melanie What you do: I write and share about beauty, skin care  — anything that makes me happy honestly, and I also do freelance photography.Skin Type: Dry, DehydratedWe’re obsessed with your beauty Instagram account — what inspired you to start it?I started my account when I realized my friends, family and coworkers were asking me lots about skin care and beauty advice because I've loved it for so long, and I thought it'd be an easy way for me to share about what I like and what I'm using all in one place. It was really just a creative outlet initially, and then it slowly evolved into where I'm at today.Tell us about your current skin-care routine.My skin-care routine is in transition to deal with this cold weather, so usually, I'll use a gentle, milky cleanser, then layers of toner and essence which have been the two new Then I Met You launches that I've been loving lately. I often will layer serums and those will change depending on how my skin feels, but I’ll always have an HA (hyaluronic acid) serum in there or a vitamin C one, and I've been testing the U Beauty Resurfacing Compound lately that has been really helping with the texture and tone of my skin. Would you buy it again?The last skin-care product I finished was the Youth To The People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream, and it's probably my favorite moisturizer at the moment. It's just the perfect consistency, texture, level of long-lasting hydration — I'm obsessed. It’s definitely something I plan on keeping in my routine.What’s one thing you wished you learned sooner, in regards to skin care? To wear SPF.
