If you ask me for my desert island makeup product, concealer is at the top of my list. As someone who loves a fresh-faced makeup look, I often opt out of using full-coverage foundation and go for concealer underneath my eyes and on top my blemishes for a more even skin tone that still looks very natural and light. Especially now since I’m social distancing, it's a reliable product that never lets me down during zoom meetings. That being said, when I heard Dermablend launched a new Cover Care Concealer, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Read on for my full review.   About the FormulaThe Cover Care Concealer is a full-coverage formula that’s waterproof and offers 24-hour wear. Its creamy texture effectively covers dark circles, discoloration, acne scars and dark spots. It’s also super hydrating and offers a soft matte yet breathable finish, thanks to the infused vegetable glycerin. The concealer is non-comedogenic, making it safe to use on all skin types, including sensitive, and is 100% vegan friendly. My ThoughtsMy initial thoughts about this concealer is that a little goes a long way. It is very full coverage and pigmented. As I previously mentioned, I’m not someone who normally gravitates toward full-coverage makeup products, but what I loved about this concealer is that the creamy consistency doesn’t feel heavy and is comfortable to wear. I also really liked the doe-foot applicator because it’s large and covers a lot of surface area, which makes application really easy. I can see this concealer being my go-to on days when I have a special event and need to do a full-face glam. One swipe was all it took to blur my large pores and imperfections. For those days where I am looking for a no-makeup makeup look (read: every day during social distancing), though, I found that applying it with a damp beauty sponge helps to melt the formula into my skin for a thinner, dewy finish. So whether you’re a makeup minimalist like me or like to do a glamorous beat for your everyday, I truly think this concealer can work for everyone. Note: Dermablend, which is owned by Skincare.com’s parent company, L’Oréal, gifted me this concealer for the purposes of this review but all opinions are my own.Read More:The Biggest Skin-Care Lessons We Learned From Our MomsWhy Tiger Grass, or Centella Asiatica, Is a Skin-Care Ingredient to Keep on Your RadarThe SkinCeuticals A.G.E.
