Editor’s Pick: The Body Shop’s Piñita Colada Line Is Served

When I think of piña coladas, my brain instantly breaks out into song and I imagine myself laying on a private beach—piña colada in hand, of course—with island music playing in the background. My most relaxed state-of-mind, if you will. So, you can imagine my excitement when The Body Shop sent over its new—and limited-edition—Piñita Colada line to the Skincare.com offices. Disclaimer: It’s going to be a fight over which editor gets to keep them for good!

Like the tropical cocktail staple, each product from the Piñita Colada line—which includes: Body Butter, Shower Gel, Body Scrub, and Body Sorbet—smells like a combination of pineapple, coconut, and summer vacation. And, if you open the Body Butter while sitting at your desk, like I did, it can turn your office into a tropical oasis. The Body Butter isn’t the only delicious smelling and hydrating product from this exclusive summer line. All four products smell just as amazing and are just as refreshing as that first sip of a piña colada. Okay, enough about the smell—though, really, I still can’t get over it—let’s talk specifics:

I love The Body Shop’s body butters for their rich, yet lightweight, textures and the Piñita Colada Body Butter is no exception. I’m a big advocate for switching to lightweight products in the summertime and am usually turned off by the term “body butter” for that exact reason, but this one is far from overbearing. Perfect for post-beach—or post anything, really—this body butter can moisturize and soothe the skin with a non-greasy hydration that lasts.

Is there anything more satisfying than jumping in the shower after a day spent in the sun? I don’t think so. The Body Shop’s Piñita Colada Shower Gel—like the others in this summer-infused line—is formulated with pineapple and coconut extracts and can give your skin a refreshing and revitalizing cleanse, sans soap.

With a creamy texture made from real shredded coconut (yum!), the Piñita Colada Body Scrub is perfect for the summer months when we’re showing a little more skin.
