We asked our editors to share the sunscreens they’ll be slathering on all summer long. Find out their favorites, ahead.
CeraVe Hydrating Tinted Sunscreen
I’m obsessed with the CeraVe Hydrating Tinted Sunscreen because it does double duty as both a sunscreen and a lightweight foundation — the sheer tint covers up any small imperfections and mild redness. I have a medium skin tone and I can attest to the fact that the universal tint seamlessly blends in with my complexion. I also love the hydrating formula that leaves my skin looking dewy, glowing and radiant. - Genesis, Assistant Editor
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-In Milk SPF 100
My skin is crazy sensitive to the sun. I have rosacea and burn nearly the second I step outside. That’s why I like to have a high protection SPF on my skin at all times. This La Roche-Posay option is my all-time favorite because I love knowing I’m protected by SPF 100. It has a fast-absorbing texture and doesn’t leave behind a white cast on my skin. Plus, it wears well under makeup and gives a nice glowy sheen to my skin if I’m going bare-faced for the day. - Samantha, Assistant Editor
Versed Guards Up Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35
Finding a sunscreen that suits my combination complexion has always been challenging, but I recently discovered the Guards Up formula by Versed and my sunscreen protection game has been forever changed. This lightweight creamy formula doesn’t feel too heavy or greasy, blends excellently under my makeup and provides SPF 35 UVA/UVB protection. It also contains sea fennel and moringa seed extract for a silky, hydrating finish. My skin has never been happier. - Alanna, Associate Editor
Vichy Capital Soleil Tinted 100% Mineral Sunscreen SPF 60
I love tinted sunscreens for a few reasons. First, less is more during the summer and being able to take foundation out of my routine (unless it’s a full coverage kind of day) is a win in my book. Second, using one means I don’t have to attempt to reapply sunscreen over my foundation. Finally, a tinted mineral sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast like some of the non-tinted formulas. I love this particular one from Vichy because it feels hydrating and goes on smooth, is water-resistant for 80 minutes and has a high SPF that can protect my fair skin from getting burned. - Sarah, Senior Editor
