We have an undying love for glowing skincare products; our editors rely on self-tanners for a year round glow. When it comes to methods on exactly how to do so, though, their opinions differ, especially when it includes self-tanning delicate areas like the face. While they’ve worked, I’ve yet to find a formula that gives me a glowy finish, is hydrating and helps minimize the noticeability of my dark spots, that is, until I tried the L’Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Facial Mist. The neat thing about this mist format is that there are several ways to apply it — for neck and décolleté, hold it 8-10 inches away and mist in a sweeping motion, and for the face, apply it with a cotton pad for a more targeted application. The coconut water and vitamin E works to moisturize my skin, not to mention, it’s also non-comedogenic and gives you a natural looking glow that doesn’t read as orange. This product has made me fall in love with the concepts of self-tanning mists, because unlike drops, there’s no need to mix it with a moisturizer. Refreshing and customizable, this formula has truly has made me a facial tanning mist convert. Whenever I use a foam or spray formula, I feel icky, sticky and kind of dirty. That’s why I love self-tanning drops. They’re practically invisible and blend right into my moisturizer without altering its texture or making me feel shiny and gross. The L’Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze Self Tan Drops for Face melt into my daily facial cream and help me build a tan while also hydrating my skin. Not to mention, tanning drops are easy to use – the handy dropper helps control how much tanner is added to the mix so it’s very difficult to add too much – and, in my opinion, offers a result that looks healthy, glowy and natural. The VerdictChoosing between facial tanning drops or vs. facial tanning mists purely comes down to preference.
